"Tipi Rings"
Watercolor on money paper.

Image: 7.5 x 4.5"

Paper: 8.5 x 5.25"

I spent four days sketching on the Arapahoe Ranch located north east of Kremmling, Colorado in the high plateau of North Park. The rings are situated on a ridge overlooking a creek and meadows to the north. The Arapahoe Tribe would spend time here every summer.

The paper is Money Paper which was briefly made from pulverized currency. Production was brief until the government thought better of the concept. The paper has a hard surface and takes washes wonderfully.
