Serigraph printing is an old print process that did not become popular until the early 20th century. A fine mesh screen is blocked in areas where the ink is not to print. The open areas of the screen allow ink to pass through when pulled across the screen with a squeegee. Numerous screens with different areas blocked out are used to print different colors.
