Letterpress Prints
A Fine Art Print Studio dedicated to promoting and preserving the craft of the hand printed, original fine art print.

These are the presses we use to create our prints. All of them are considered hand presses

in that the printer must manually position the paper in the press.

The VanderCook Proofing Press was produced about 1934. The press is capable of printing relief images up to 16" x 22", with paper size up to 17" x 23". The block is inked manually which allows for creative techniques.	The Chandler Price Press dates to 1895, and can print a relief image up to 8" x 10". The press is mounted to a motor, allowing larger quantities to be printed. Inking is automatic which does not allow for gradient inking techniques.	The Washington R Hoe & Co Press dates from 1885 and was purchased by DCArtPress in 2005 from Vintage Press Works in Denver. DCArtPress is the fourth owner of the press.

The Graves Press is now at the studio of Stuart T Loughridge Fine Art, in St Paul, Minnesota. Purchased in 1980 by Dry Creek Art Press from The Rembrandt Graphic Co. The Graves Press can print relief or intaglio prints up to 16" x 24".
